Luma pricing (2026): how many videos does each plan actually give you?
Tired of paying for a video generator, burning the credits in a weekend, and only then finding out what the plan really bought you? Here is Luma's math before you subscribe.
Luma's Plus plan is $30 a month for 10,000 credits. At 100 per 5-second Ray3.2 SDR clip that is 100 generations — and if you re-roll every other one, roughly 33 videos you would actually keep.

Every Luma plan, converted into videos per month
| Plan | Price / month | Allowance | Per clip | Generations | Usable at 3 tries | Cost per usable video |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PlusRay3.2 SDR · 5s · 720p | $30$25/mo yearly | 10,000 credits | 100 | 100 | 33 | $0.91 |
| ProRay3.2 SDR · 5s · 720p | $90$75/mo yearly | 40,000 credits | 100 | 400 | 133 | $0.68 |
| UltraRay3.2 SDR · 5s · 720p | $300$250/mo yearly | 150,000 credits | 100 | 1,500 | 500 | $0.60 |
“Generations” is the monthly allowance divided by the cost of one clip at the settings shown, rounded down. “Usable at 3 tries” assumes you keep one clip in three; change that assumption on the full comparison. Yearly prices are shown per month.
The catch
- SDR base rate. Native 1080p costs 400 credits/5s; a 10s 720p clip costs 300, not 200. HDR and HDR+EXR multipliers excluded.
What a real user found
No independent Ray3.2 report retained; do not transfer older Dream Machine reviews to this version.
Trade-off: Ray3.2 native 1080p is four times the 5s 720p SDR rate; 10s pricing is nonlinear.
Compare native 1080p with 720p plus upscaling for your actual delivery format.
